Lexia

Lexia core 5 is a helpful program for some. It expands children's vocabulary and reading skills. Lexia is a program you can access through a iPad, computer (etc). On Lexia there are different activities and levels, at the moment I'm on level 15.

What I like about this design……
                                                   https://www.govt.nz/browse/engaging-with-government/the-nz-flag-your-chance-to-decide/
Designed by: AJ Main
From: Manawatu-Wanganui
Name: NZ Flag

"NZ" Ensign by AJ Main from Manawatu-Wanganui, tagged with: Blue, Red, White, Southern Cross, History, Kiwiana, Sport.

I like how this illustrator has used the same colours as our now existing NZ flag. This illustrator has taken the union jack out of his design, but kept the other symbols the same.
This is a comment from the illustrator.

“Close enough to current form to make transition easy BUT replaces a symbol of colonialism with a a Kiwi design icon”

In room 9 a group of people are doing lexia core 5. Some of those students are us. Some of our questions include idioms. For example to spill the beans. That question doesn’t literally mean to spill beans, because it’s an idiom. It actually means to tell a secret.         By Ellie and Lizzie

Room 9 rectangle maths group have been working on decimal numbers.

These are the kind of questions Mrs Cribb have been giving us. For example

0.7 + 0.3 = 1.0

 It’s just like 7 + 3 = 10 with the decimal point.

A.N.Z.A.C

Walking across the unstable creaky bridge, trying to hold itself up, broken sticks blocking their paths. Smoke filled the air and the leafless trees sighed, as the exhausted soldiers glooped sadly past.      No chance they'll survive.

See if you can spot the personification (human quality) in my story.

Echidna

1.  a echidna has fur.
2.  spines.
3.  long claws.
4.  hind legs (high legs).
5.  small eyes
6.  wedge shaped snout (nose is a snout).
7.  small head.
8.  a big tummy.
9.  they look like a hedge.
10. spikes all over them

Today I found out today about echidnas. echidnas are like porcupines. The thing that make porcupines and echidnas different is that echidnas have long snouts.
Baby echidnas are called puggles. It’s a cute name.

STU BEAUT: Fan Stu Champan takes a scorching Tui catch during the Black Caps' World Cup clash with Bangladesh
He whacks the money maker into the hot air. It’s not gonna make it. Just in case, I swing my arm up to the sky and curve my hand as if I’m holding a large orange.

The money maker speeds towards me. My fingers are tingling, my teeth are shaking, I squeeze my eyes shut.

Suddenly, I open my eyes and there I see, there in my hand, the cricket ball.

Cheerleading

One wonderful day I started a class. A cheer leading class. Once I started my cousin Kayla joined as well. The right side picture is me in the air, and the the left side is Kayla and I in a show. So that's my story.

All About me

At school I LOVE to see and pat the Guinea pigs. There are two of them one named Opal and the other named OJ.
In my spare time I like to cheer-lead. Cheer leading is all about cartwheeling and flips and pompoms. Every Wednesday after school I to practice.
I have two cats, one dog and eleven sheep. They're all so cute and friendly.
At school I also like reading and writing and maths.
